What concerns were addressed regarding the location of the fight in Saudi Arabia?
On Thursday, December 5th, the final press conference for the highly anticipated rematch between Andy Ruiz Jr. and Anthony Joshua occurred in Saudi Arabia. Representatives from Matchroom Boxing and both fighters were present for the event.
The first bout between the two was a shock to the boxing world, as Ruiz was able to defeat the previously unbeaten Joshua and claim the WBA, IBF, and WBO heavyweight titles. The upset victory catapulted Ruiz into stardom and put Joshua’s career in question.
