On November 22, 1986, 20-year-old Mike Tyson made history when he was crowned boxing’s youngest heavyweight champion of the world.

Before becoming a trained and accomplished boxer, Mike Tyson lived with his mom and sister in the Bedford-Stuyvesant and Brownsville neighborhoods in Brooklyn, New York. And he was less than a year old when his vices began to take shape. He told DNA India that his mother would give him liquor and drugs to help him fall asleep.
